The interior design elements, combining Dennis Calero's character work with recognizable casino elements, was meant to give readers a similar feeling to the opening credits of the Bond films. The pattern on the end papers were meant to be reminiscent of the backs of playing cards. My cover design, which I wanted to have a 1950's era pulp novel feel with the logo and dress, featured a matte-finish with a high-gloss, fifth color red added to all of the titling elements over the beautiful art of Fay Dalton.
